Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie once hid from Clint Eastwood out of fear after thinking she had pissed him off at an award show.

Robbie was a young actress when she attended the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, where she was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in “The Wolf of Wall Street.” She was seated at a table with Eastwood, who was also nominated for Best Director for “American Sniper.”

Robbie told Vanity Fair that she was “terrified” of Eastwood and that she thought she had made him angry by not being familiar with his work.

“I didn’t know anything about his movies,” she said. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m such a fraud.'”

Robbie said that she hid from Eastwood in the bathroom during the awards show and that she didn’t come out until it was over.

“I was so scared of him,” she said. “I thought he hated me.”

However, Eastwood later told Robbie that he didn’t mind that she didn’t know his work and that he was actually impressed by her honesty.

“He was like, ‘I like that you’re not a fake,'” Robbie said.

Robbie and Eastwood have since worked together on the film “The Legend of Tarzan.”
